door locks dont unlock automatic

I have a 2003 Expedition. When I start to drive my truck my doors lock automatically. When I park and turn off my truck and get off WHY DONT MY DOOR LOCKS UNLOCK AUTOMATIC. Can someone please help!

At least for gen 1 Expeditions, Ford saw this as a safety / security issue. They didn't want all the doors to unlock the moment you put it in park. The reason ? Someone could jump in (or out of) the vehicle and do God knows what.

It's the same reason that you hit the remote once to unlock the drivers door and then a second time to unlock the rest.
