I can't see any relationship between the new starter and mysterious door locks and no indication that your rig wants to start.
Probably the only known good in all of this is the starter.
If you bought a new starter and new solenoid then work your way back toward the switch.
That spring loaded switch has a wire that it switches, find it, turn the key to RUN and jumper that wire. If the rig starts then maybe the ignition switch is bad.
Also you can turn the key to RUN and use the jumper cables to jumper to the starter solenoid. If the starter motor turns over every time, the vehicle runs and the door locks don't freak out, then you know it's not the solenoid and motor and something closer to the dash.
