I've recently bought a 2007 Expedition XLT. This is the first Ford I've ever owned, and have really liked everything about it so far...except for the doors. All of them seem to be a little loose with the driver's door and liftgate being the worst. At first I was thinking the weather stripping might need to be replaced, but other than some tearing along the bottom of the liftgate, they seem to be in perfect condition. I've been looking into this a little, and it seems like some people have had issues with the striker being set too far out so the door isn't being held as tight as it should be. They were able to fix it by moving the striker in just 1/4 inch or so. However I couldn't find anything for my specific year/model, so I don't know that adjusting it would even be possible for me. From what I can tell, it doesn't look like it can be adjusted at all though. Does anyone know if this is something that could work. And if not, are there any other options? If it will help, I can post some pictures of it later today.
To be honest, I haven't worked on cars much since high school, so I wouldn't put much stock in my abilities. However I am trying to avoid taking this to a shop, especially a dealer, and having to pay the labor charges. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

have you tried to move the door with it closed while outside the truck...maybe you can find the loose spot by pushing on the door in multiple directions...if possible...check all the hinges and make sure theyre tight...any accidents with it? do u have a carfax?
