Just completed an interesting project...

Added 2 H Yokes on my rear driveshaft.. Reasoning is to reduce the high speed humming over 50mph.. Sounds like it helped... Although I think much of the noise is still related to the TSB on rear IRS bearings...

Looks kewl though :)

Mindgame, the 97-98 X's came with a driveshaft like you installed with only a single H-yoke (on the transfer case end). Ford ended up going away from it as the centering bearing between the two U-joints has a tendency to wear out and lead to other noises. On the Ford driveshaft, the centering bearing is a Dana 1350 joint in case anyone is interested. I did some work on my rear driveshaft but ended up switching over to the more conventional driveshaft in the middle of a long trip.
