hi i am planning to change me cd player in dash panel to JVC AV70BT...but some guys who fix it said that they need to cut of the stock amplifier in the car. is it true. thxs in advance

Shouldn't have to if you get the proper interface cables

What year vehicle, and which stock head unit do you have. It shouldn't matter as there are harnesses out there that can keep all stock functions, but it would help in letting you know exactly what needs to be done.
