Hi.

Has anyone tried the Edge Products Evolution Programmer EEF2000 on the Expedition.

I have a 98 5.4L, and ordered one today. All the websites say it applies to Expedition as well as F150, but tech guy was not too sure at Edge Products. That was upsetting.

Any thoughts?

What is the purpose of the programmer? tuning for more power?
If so, I am curious too as to what the options are on these vehicles.

If you want a programmer that will give you more hp and let you adjust gear ratios get the Hypertech Programmer.

I did hear that for reprogramming, Edge was better than HyperTech.

I would guess they are about the same.

But since I ordered an Edge Products EEF2000, I still am looking for anohter Expedition owner to compare notes.

All programmers are going to give you the same basic tune. Max power on the otane is the best you can do. Everybody has the same tune..... I like the sniper tuning "special forces" software because it had the most features. Their kit also allows you to program 2 ford vehicles with your purchase. I now have their dyno shop software that can do almost anything. Check them out www.snipertuning.com

Well today I installed the "Towing" program using the Edge Evolution Programmer EEF2000.

It seems to have made the truck more aggressive in terms of shifting and holding gears when accelerating.

Overall, the truck now drives more like it should have done all along.

The installation went well too.

I will try to post more after I have used it a bit more.
