If so what?? I going to move up the shift firmness ..was wondering if anything else could be playeds with safely???:shrug:

I have the shift firmness bumped up on mine.

Edge puts limits on the changes that you can make to most of the critical adjustments, for your own safety. I think that you can change mixture and timing by only a small bit.

I've never used level 3 on mine, so I can't really comment on that part.

Racenut has adjusted the shift firmness on his by 15% if I remember correctly... I haven't played with mine since I haven't had time to drive it... gas is over $4 in NY now... so neon gets most of the driving

Yeah I have bumped up the shift firmness by 15% on all shift points and it makes a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE.

No more car like shift, it actually feels like a truck quick firm shift.

I had mine on level 3 for quite awhile and I liked it but it was hard to keep my foot out of it so right now I have it on the fallowing:

Level 2 - Towing tune
Speed Gov. set to 150MPH
1-2 shift FIRMNESS - 15% increase
2-3 shift FIRMNESS - 15% increase
3-4 shift FIRMNESS - 15% increase

For everyday driving it does great, some times if you get on it just a little the 1-2 shift is firmer than you would expect but it works great at WOT and for Towing.

The main reason I bumped it up was due to the fact that I do A LOT of towing with it, and those quick firm shifts make such a difference wether it be off the line from a light, or hitting passing gear on the freeway.

I would HIGHLY recomend upping the shift pressure not only for the performance gain, but also for the prolonged life of the tranny especially since you are running larger wheels/tires.

It will make your truck feel completly different!

I havn't tried any higher than 15% because under load or WOT the shifts are VERY FIRM ( firm enough to thow me back in the seat and at WOT squal the serpentine belt ) but I also only have a 2wd on factory size tires as well so you may be able to use a little more.

I would start out at 15% and see how you like it, if you need more you can always " retune ".

just curious but how much did ya'll pay for the your edge programmer....

I paid $490 for mine straight from Edge, and that included the overnight shipping with saturday delivery. I literally had the programmer in less than 24hrs from the time I ordered it!

Even thou it was spendy, it was well worth the money!
