electrical issue??????

I have a 2002 Eddie Bauer expedition, and recently began having som wonky issues. lol. I noticed that when I shift from park to reverse, my dash lights all go out, my power windows don't work, and my wipers don't work!!!! When I shift into neutral, it all works again, then when i sihft into drive it all goes out again. After a few minutes in drive it all starts working again?!?!?!?!?!?! Any ideas as to what it could be? A friend who used to work at Ford said it sound slike the transfer case switch? He had one come into Ford one time with the same problems, and thats what it ended up being. Could this be it? Also, we had alot of rain the week before it started acting up, and I drove thru some pretty big puddles (along with the rain, we had several feet of snow melt at the same time lol) could the water have something to do with it???? Loose connection or break in the harness. Most likely around or on the steering column. Time for the wiggle the harness test.
