exhaust manifold fix

has anyone replaced their exhaust manifold or the gasket. Mine is leaking on the right side and i was wondering if it would be hard to do myself. I done a few on some other fords but not a expedition one. Thanks for the help

It is not too hard, I just did mine 97. Easy way is to remove inner fender wheel - I used a torch to remove all the non broken bolts. Make sure you have the old manifold machined or if it is too bad use a new factory manifold. After market is $150 includes studs, gaskets, etc. OEM is 160 and includes the same things. I have not had much luck with aftermarket manifolds OEM Gakets, studs, etc are $100 without the manifold.

Ford fix for the mainfolds warping and blowing the stud off is to now use copper studs, that way the strech instead of breaking!!!!

I had mine removed and headers installed when a lug broke off. For the headers they needed to shift the engine to get em on.
