really any deterrents are only gonna stop a half-@$$ criminal... any real criminal with experience is gonna get what they want one way or another.... seen it a lot and read tons of police reports from across the country when I was in the Air Force as a SF (MP)... got daily reports from local-state-federal departments... so what I have learned is any security is only gonna prevent small time criminals... a real thief is gonna find a way to steal it... just my .02

Nuts is right. From work as a tow truck driver, I can't count the cars I towed that were stolen. It could have an alarm, the club and anything else and if they want it, they will get. I have actually seen people resort to getting a tow truck a taking the whole vehicle without ever getting in it.

I don't care if they take the whole car, just don't break in and take my stuff from inside. The people that steal the whole car aren't as bad as the ones who want your personnal stuff. The ones that get your drivers license, credit cards and then your identity are the ones that need to be SHOT.

you must have $$$$ in this slowly progressing economy time...NOT ME!!! it would make my PTSD...BALLISTIC!!!...then i'll have to coordinate with sgtowing's wife to knock him off...another thread...its a joke...unless....:flamingdevil: lol...i'd hate to buy a new car again...i can cancel my cards...cant cancel my truck...its paid off...which will hurt even more...i can do it...but dont want to...had to get a new car cuz my wife wasnt paying attention and running her mouth...totalled...take my stuff...cheaper than another note and mods ALL OVER AGAIN...

Curious how the alarm didnt go off.. On my daughters Explorer, the lock is messed up and if you lift the handle, the door opens even when locked, BUT, the alarm sounds unless she unlocks it with the Fob.

Did you lock it and "beep" the system to set the Alarm? I would sure test the alarm. Have someone sit inside, set the alarm, and then have them open the door.

Always thought hitting the Fob the first time (lock) will lock the doors, and the second time sets the Alarm.. Is that not correct?

Yes the alarm was on. When they pop the handle and flip the lever to unlock it it's just like they used a key and does not set off the alarm.

Some low life broke into mine by breaking the passenger side window within 12 hours after I bought it. They were focused on the centre console and missed the GPS under the glass on the passenger seat. When I was covering the window with some plastic sheeting the paperboy commented that my Expy was the 4th vehicle he had seen this morning with broken passenger side windows. And my alarm didn't go off either. Need a proximity sensor like I have on my Mustang droptop to pick up an intrusion into the vehicle.
