Expedition info please

I drive a 2002 Ford Explorer XLS and frequent www.Explorerforum.com. The Explorer's obviously have certain problems related to certain years and I am considering picking up an Expedition. What year(s) for the Expedition should I be aware of, problems, etc. The model I am looking at is a 2001 XLT. Thanks for any and all help.

i would suggest looking at the tsb link which is on the home page for this forum. this may give you a clue. However, 2001 is basically the same vehicle as previous years with some added comfort items and slight trim changes. So, I would guess that by then, most bugs have been identifyed and cleared out. Good luck and enjoy your new Expy. I had an 02 explorer and traded up for the extra room. I am 6-2 and found the explorer a tad small on the fit.
