This past weekend my 2008 expedition had some weird start up issues. 174,000 miles. It did not happen everytime it was started. It would crank and the starter would Kion stay engaged and keep cranking until I had to turn the key back to stop it. A couple times it would do the same thing, crank 2 times and then on 3rd try it would start up like normal. I tried to video but not sure if it is helpful. I got rid of a 2006 expy last year that wouldn’t start and later learned it was the dreaded plastic chain tensioner that broke.

Check your fuel pump. They tend to have issues. It might not be getting fuel.

No fuel pressure at the fuel rail, not even a puff or drop of fuel. I dropped the spare tire to try and check the fuel pump driver module for power. I saw a couple videos showing it on driver side above and beside spare tire. I don’t see it back there, and I can’t find anything showing the location of it. Rock auto and Orielly’s sell the part so I assume it is there somewhere.
