i've had this 12 sitting around for awhile, along with a off brand amp. i'd been wanting to install it in my expy since its the only truck that did not have a sub in it. so i picked up a line out converter and some power cable and wired it up today. nice to have alittle bass in the thing i will say that. nothing like the 15 i have in my excursion but a nice little bump. everything else is stock, i like my factory HUs and stuff i know i'm weird.

I had stock for about the first week... then ripped everything out... not gonna hear the stereo over tires and exhaust but crystal clear and loud on the inside

Nothing wrong with using a stock headunit. In fact, after five years or so of using an aftermarket one, I'm thinking about going back to the factory unit. I prefer to keep an OEM look to not attract attention. Plus, these days, you can get all kinds of interfaces to use with the factory components and add in the aftermarket capabilities.

Anyway, looks good. Glad you're happy with it. Pics of the Excursion?

thats because sealed boxes need more power to get the output that vented boxes give...thats why...if youre really crazy about it...do a bandpass

get a cheap one with good reviews. they all do the same thing. and they are all fairly easy to wire up too.
