Yes I willIt’s not quite plug and play. The projectors and reflectors actually use different bulbs in the high/low spots. I believe the projectors are H9 high/9005 low; the reflectors are 9005 high/H11 low. The connectors are different, so it’s not as easy as plugging in the different lights either.
Physically, they are the same. I upgraded to HID projectors retrofitted into factory halogen projectors lights last year. They bolted right in to my XLT. View attachment 24863
If you’re willing, swapping the wiring from one connector to the other wouldn’t be difficult.
@J Ski I'm really curious to see how they compare to halogens in the projectors. When you get them, will you swap one and do an on-wall comparison of output?
Then EU rear fogs would annoy the rest of us unless it was foggy. (They are very bright.) Just like everyone else in the suburbs would.I use my fog lights for light not because they look cool
I got a warning for that very thing in Germany, 1987. I had no idea what the cop was talking about. A lot of 'yessir's and a lack of language skills seemed to work. They were really miffed about it.Then EU rear fogs would annoy the rest of us unless it was foggy. (They are very bright.) Just like everyone else in the suburbs would.
Knowing the Germans I'd probably be cited for driving with the rear fogs on when it ain't foggy.

Yeah the manufacture in US and told me it will probably not take that long. 6-8 is just what they put on their websiteThat 6-8 week backorder is brutal.
this is marketed for 2015-2017So are these a straight up replacement for the stock headlight bulbs on my 08? Or are they just for the newer rigs?

These come with a anti flicker module built in. The three ppl I have talked to who run them on their 2016s say they haven’t had a single issue with flickering since the day they installed. Best part is everything fits behind OEM dust capCouple of youtube reviews from a few months back suggest there is (was?) a flicker issue with SL1s. Hope DD has this resolved. Might have something to do with the wait.

Chuck - I have the projectors and have tried the Sylvania Ultra Stars or whatever they are called and they still don't "project" very well.
Just ordered the new Diode Dynamics SL1 Low beam LEDs for projectors. Here a few shots from a guy on facebook. Can’t wait to get them in. Huge difference IMO
Perfect fit behind the dust cap, no modifying involved

Well every other person Ive asked that has used some kind of amazon LED says the dust cap won’t fit back on without cutting it and everything this kit comes with fits in the housing. DD has done a great deal of R&D to get these LEDs compatible with our projector head lights. I prefer to order quality products and from what I’ve seen on a few expedition applications so far, these LEDs definitely out perform OEM halogens and some other LEDs.1600 lumen LEDs for $150???
You can get 10x the output for 1/4 the price
Same general design too, since that housing is utterly unoriginal and quite typical
