Jr1under, they look great on your machine.. Beautiful color btw..
Thanks, I just had to detail it after getting sharp new tires. The body, trim and glass is not too difficult but cleaning those wheels is a pain in the fingers.

Both look nice, and those new tires keep it nice yet simple, which I think looks much better, especially on the older gens
I'd never paid much attention until recently but it seems that less than one in fifty vehicles have raised white letter tires. Like Billme said, it's an old school look but one that goes well with a 25 year-old SUV.

Detailing my 1999's wheels has always been a pain in the fingers but I've found an easier way. This brush attachment makes a big difference in time and effort - just spray the wheel with Simple Green and let the drill do the work. Ryobi makes the brush and I got it at Home Depot.

If I were here, you would know it !

Yep, I have a similar brush tool that attaches to my cordless drill, which makes quick work of an otherwise tedious & painful procedure for sure !

I decided Firestone beefed up the sidewalls.. With these very stiff Monroe shocks, I had to run 30lbs air on all 4.. I absolutely don’t like the ride of the Monroe’s ..

30 lbs as opposed to what? The door sticker on my 1999 EB recommends 30 front and 35 rear but I have rear air shocks(not my favorite feature).

Maybe this is always the case with new tires but the Firestones run noticeably smoother and quieter than the old Kellys.

I remember running 32 to 33 lbs on my last set, which was years ago, but I had Gabriel shocks then.. You’re correct on the sticker.. I ended up running 30 all the way around with these Monroe’s..
Anyway, I can live with this combination now.. No need wasting money, just to change the shocks..I’m getting more passive in my 70’s hehe
