Hello, new to forum and new to Expeditions. Love the new ride.
02 XLT loaded. Black w/grey leather interior. 3rd row seat(have three kids), tow package(son races motocross).
Went with the off road look. I know most lower with big wheels, have done that before with other rigs, but I like this look. Front is raised about 2" torsion bars, 33/12.5 tires on 16.6x10 wheels.
I'll add more pics after the clean up.

Thanks. There seems to be no science to number of turns. I started with putting a sharpie mark on the bolt head and the frame and was counting full turns. I had someone measuring the front fender to the ground. After a rew full turns 5-6 I got a little excited and just started cranking. I ended up measuring the final clearence of the bolt head to the frame. Got as close as 1/8" before stopping. I dont know if you could bottom that bolt out, but I think it looks fine the way it is.

I've heard about doing this with the torsion bars, but does it do any damage to your suspension? It would be cool to get a little bit of a lift in the front to fit some bigger tires in there!

I havn't noticed anything odd normal driving, highway or around town. No weird pulls, shakes or shimmies. I'm not sure if this is going to have any long term effects on the suspension, I have some friends with f150s who have done the same with no ill effects, been running for about two years. They did the same for the purpose of leveling out the front with the rear.

isnt the rear always lower than the front? so would it look odd with the front lifted 2 inches higher than the rear?

well for some reason mine wasn't. It looked to be jacked up in the rear. When I get it cleaned up, i'll post some side shots. Its been too cold outside to be washing anything the last few days. I don't have any snowmobiles. We just took the trailer full of downhill sleds and the truck full of kids for a day of sledding. Can't afford snowmobliles with my kid racing motocross.

That is how they should look. I know alot of you guys have very nice, lowered Expy's but nothing beats the lifted look. My '99 EB sits about that high without any lifting.........yet! That will be coming soon. Looks good man!
