So there are two master cylinder brake recalls. There's a recent one (2025) and there is a previous one (2023/2024). I had mine replaced at the dealer, per the recall, in March 2024. They replaced the MC and the booster.
in Sept 2025 (18 months and only 12,573 miles later) it failed, ruining a vacation, stranding us, and necessitating an emergency repair ($2300) on a Saturday.
Ford won't reimburse because they only offer a 1 year warranty on their recalls.
If I bought the parts and did it myself I'd have a 2 year warranty on the parts.
Ford sucks, will never buy another Ford product.
Also do not trust your important safety components like ....brakes. Because Ford says the MC and Power Booster are wear parts and not to be expected for longevity.
18 months. 12, 573 miles. That's what Ford says is normal wear on important safety features.
