On my way back from filling up my 05 Expy at the gas station I was sitting at a stop light when a very nice looking late model Chevy Tahoe rolls up along side me. I actually heard the stereo thump before I saw the front end pull up along side. The vehicle looked pretty mean as it was lowered with big chrome rims, perfect gloss black paint and limmo tinted windows.
As the light turned green we both jumped off the line quicker than normal, well I was not going to let him pull ahead so I slowly applied more throttle and he answered.......I say to myself ok I guess it's game on, so I pushed it to the floor and my stock 5.4 came to life. He did the same and I could hear he had a custom exhaust as well. We were neck and neck until we hit about 50 mph then the old Expy started to pull away, once I had a car length on him I backed off as we were already going too fast for the street. He stayed on it but he knew he was clearly beat. As I approached the next stop light I realized my AC was on and I had a topped off fuel tank which did not help any. I was proud of my a completely stock Expy....well I do have a K&N air filter and Gibson tailpipe tip so I guess it's not completely stock.
Brought back my old teenage days when I had my 1965 Mustang fastback that I would smoke Camaro's with.
