So i was just doing some thread browsing, saw my old thread about the follow distance indicator, and the fact i couldn't change values in my IPC yet due to new code and forscan not being able to write that module.

did a bit more searching, and I see 5 days ago, forscan released a new beta with the following:

+ Configuration and programming function for PCM/TCM "Module initialization/relearn vehicle data" for:
  • Expedition 2018
  • Lincoln Navigator 2018

Oh Boy! Time to test and see if i can write updates to my IPC now.
(I realize that doesn't say IPC.. but still any support for 2018 model makes me excited)

oh damn.. i may be premature..

-----------------------
FORScan recognizes modules by their part numbers, modules of new models usually have new part numbers that have to be added to the database periodically, what happens in new FORScan releases. Programming 2019 F-Series IPCs is supported in FORScan 2.3.17 (no public release yet, but everyone can request a test build from us in PM or by email).

However, what f-wolf and twisterrescue explained is actual for some brand new models of 2018 and 2019 model years, specifically:

2018 Expedition (U553)
2018 Navigator (U554)
2018 Ecosport (B515)
2018 Ka/Figo (B562)
2018 Ranger (P375)
2018 Everest (U375)
2019 Transit Connect (V408 MCA)
2019 Focus (C519)
(most likely, the list will grow)

In contrast to Ford IDS, FORScan will support these models (in fact, already does), but configuration and programming for some modules (first of all, for IPC) may not work. We are going, however, make these functions available in the future, although so far it is not clear how much time it will take.

We have sticked the thread as the information may be helpful for many users.

Yes, I beta tested this release for the PCM and TCM relearn that is required for when you change wheel size in the BCM and get a P160a DTC.

OK..so I have all the necessary hardware pieces to use FORscan...and I have searched endlessly for info on codes, etc. I have found convoluted info all over the place with mixed and non-specific information...does anyone have, I mean REALLY HAVE the codes and their functions as a complete listing for a 2014 Expy?? Also, people who are posting info on the HOW TO use the interface module to program the system need to try to follow their own steps...I am NOT a newbie in this area as an engineer with over 40 years experience and I find all of the info I have run across extremely convoluted...I would be happy to know if there is anyplace that has specific programming step by step guides and complete listings by year of codes and their respective modules for Expys and Navis...any help greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance..forlorn in SC..
