Hi Guys

While inspecting my truck for more crappy former owner repair jobs. I found two wires cut then twisted together under the drivers side of the dash. One is red and one is dark blue.Does anyone know what these are for?I want to put them back right but before I do I want to make sure I wont mess anything up.I looked online for a 99 diagram but had no luck.

Quick update I followed the wires as far as I could and they go to a relay at the end of the wires . Anyone know what this relay might be for?

Picture or a better description of the wires and relay would greatly help with a suggestion. My guess is the modulator for the contraption next to the thingamajig. JK.
Can't really tell you anything other than the red is most likely a hot wire. I'm sure the PO had a remote start or something like that in there and ripped it out when he sold it.

Great I have a picture but it wont let me post it.

It is the red and blue ones that some dufus wire nuted together with a house hold wire nut.The relay they lead to is the square ford relay to the right of them. This relay is not part of the fuse block it just hangs loose under the dash. The relay also has a green with a yellow stripe and a brown going to it.Also might have a gray but it is too dark outside to tell right now.

Several possible circuits from my 99 manual:
Auxiliary a/c control module
Roof opening panel motor assembly
Keypad switch assembly
Exterior rear view switch
Left exterior rear view mirror
cell phone connector
cell phone support electronics

Some are light blue and others are dark blue wires.

Easiest way to find out is to disconnect them taking precautions not to short while powered and see what no longer works, or trace the wires with a test light.

My mirrors work so not that
Don't have a roof panel so not that
don't have the cell phone system so not that I don't think
I do have a rear ac and heat maybe that I will have to check that one

Now that leaves keypad switch assembly. That one just might be it.My driver door key pad does not light up or function and the number 5 button is split and looks like water may have gotten into it at some point.Maybe this was their redneck way to bypass it.
