Just wonder what some of you with an 06 Expy with 3.73 gears are seeing for mpg #'s and also how many miles you are getting out of a tank on the highway. Trying to decide between Expy and Pilot. Vehicle would not be a daily driver, but mostly used on weekends for baseball trips during the summer months.

i dont have a second gen, but i have heard meany times 16-20 maybe alittle more maybe alittle less depending on driving style..ect on a road trip i'd expect 400+ miles on a tank.

i know with my older expy i can get 17 pretty easily on road trips.

I got 18 on the highway with four people and all the stuff for a week vacation. 400+ to the tank and I could have gotten more but wanted to be safe. Didn't know where the fuel stops were.

I can get 18-19 on the highway. I never push the range to know how far I can actually go, but when I fill up, it usually shows just north of 400 miles left on the tank.

Hmm, damn, guess I gotta slow down haha. Last fill up was 14 mpg, 260-280 miles from full to quarter tank.

The one before was 12, but I needed an oil change.

17-19mpg and I've pulled 415 on a tank no prob. But keep in mind I don't have a life other then maintaining my vehicles better then my marriage...

I've always thought this would work:

28 gal tank * 90% of usable fuel = 25.2 gal * 18mpg = 453.6 miles

If MPG is an issue.. Get a pilot.. If you want space, armor, and passenger capacity.. Get the Expy... :)

The Pilot's do not look that much bigger than my Explorer. MPG is not that much of an issue for me since I have only put just over 100,000 miles on my Ex since buying it used in '02 (139,*** miles on it now). I want room and a comfortable, quiet ride, plus I have always loved the looks of the Eddie Bauer Expy's. Those qualities are worth losing a few mpg's to me.
