Fuel Filler Neck

New to this site, but I've found it really useful as I get maintenance current on the wife's Expy. Her sister was going to trade it in back in 2005 and my wife liked it, so we bought it. Great truck. Here's the question... while looking things over I was examining the fuel filler neck and there's an extra hose with what looks like a connector, but nothing is connected. I've searched and searched for diagrams. It just looks like something is supposed to be connected. Here's a pic... it's a 2003.

I've dropped my tank before and don't remember seeing anything like that hanging...are there any other lines just hanging?

Mine is exactly the same as yours. It doesn't have anything connected to it.

Thanks for checking, Andy. I guess it's just one of those "mystery thing-ees" and I can move on to the next item.

It might be vent for the charcoal canister. Think it has to be higher than the tank to keep it from emptying the the tank.
