Here's the rule of thumb. If you notice a difference after you changed the fuel filter, you waited too long to change the fuel filter.
what was the difference noticed....... gas milage, power, ?????? .............. at only $10 for part plus another $10 for tool........ not bad if I notice a difference
Is this something that can easily be done on your own or should I just have it done somewhere. I've been wanting to change mine for a while now but am not sure how to go about doing it
Easily done on your own. My 14 y/o daughter helped me with mine, just to have some dad time. The filter was $6 or $7 at Autozone and the tool was about the same. Pull the fuse for the fuel pump, disconnect the lines going to and from the filter and snap in the new one. Took me ten minutes the first time I did it. You may have to play with the tool a little to get it to release the clamps. That took up most of the time doing mine, lol.
