Gen-1 dash back lighting

I want to order some LED's for my dash cluster for the back lighting only of the gauges...does anyone know how many bulbs are used for this and i think these are small than the 194's

I have seen people change them.... I think on F150online.com they have a "how-to" for the swap... because some years you have to remove a green film on the dash overlay to get a color change... I will try to find link

haha and its a blue film by the way. blue+yellowish color from bulb = green. i wanna make mine red. purple i guess. haha

Thanks nuts....but the question no one is answering...I know how to do it....I have change the back drop on my cluster...now I want to upgrade to the LED bulbs because i need more light...I lust need to know how many back light bulbs there are and what model they are...I do remember they are NOT 194's..but thanks for the link...just didnt answer the question

Can't remember exactly how many there are, but there are two different sizes--bigger ones for speedo & tach, smaller ones (194's) for the others.

Where did you find a back drop for the cluster panel? I am now interested in one.

so did you ever figure out what bulbs you need Also do you have any thoughts on blue bulbs with the blue back ground color I would like all the interior lights in the truck to be the same color and i like the idea of a rich blu but also i dont want it to be dim. i also heard there can be ecu errors due to low current draw. anyone have any info.
