Going From 2wd To All Wd

Has anyone heard of someone going from a 2wd to all wheel drive? I have a 2wd 98 EB and want to know/poll if you guys think (1) if it is worth it, (2) if you think it is extremely costly (3) if it is even possible, and (4) if I would be able to tow more.

The cheapest way to obtain the best result would be to trade in the 2wd for a AWD.

cant really do it, it uses a totally different frame. Thats why 2wds are held up with coil springs in the front and 4wd with torsion bars.

If it was a explorer, it would be a different story.
