I know walmart used to and I think might still sell a kit with power capacitor for about $80 it comes with all 4 GA power and ground leads, the remote wire, RCA's, the .5 farad power cap, and the maxi fuse. I have been runnin this setup and pushing two 12" with no problems at all and plenty of room to expand. I belive the kit is rated up to 1600W but don't remember and the power cap is nice it makes the bass hit harder and your lights don't dim :D

heres a little misconseption with gauges. the kit must be a awg not just gauge. awg stands for american wire gauge. that means the copper is the gauge. example i got a 4 gauge wire kit for a buddy of mine i told him not to get it but i got it for him anyways. i opened it and the cable was 4 gauge. the wire was 8 gauge. i had a site on my computer saved that sold a 50ft or 100 ft spool of 0 awg for $50. dont remember since i have no internet on my computer right now. but thats worth it. unless you can strike up a deal with a big name company like rockford or kicker or any other big name company i would go that way. but i need new wiring too. just dont have the money for the 0 gauge. im running 10 gauge to a 200 watt amp since i broke my 1000 watt. long story.

That kit that I am running from walmart is actually 4AWG they actually have really decent wire in that kit because of the power cap. I have been running this kit now for a number of years and in multiple setups up to running 2 1000W mono class D amps and a 500W 4ch all on the same 4 Gauge wire with a distribution block. The only thing that I recomend for this kit is get better terminals for the wire than what come in the kit ( they are the cheap china crap ) I picked up comercial lugs at lowes and they work flawless. The only bad thing is they may be numberd at walmart until they run out because I canot find it online anymore, but my local store has 2 left ( I swear walmart is getting rid of all the good stuff and just stocking crap now a days)

Make sure you have some good sized wires for your speaker wires!! And you cant go wrong with 0/1 awg "zero gauge" (power and ground)pricey as hell and as far as the lights dimming you might want to look up the big 3 upgrade and use 0/1 awg wire as well. If your still dimming then go with a kinetic power cell (competition level stuff)

I think you guys have a place called Harbor Freight, or something like that (Princess Auto for Canadians is similar) you can always go pick up some heavy guage welding leads and use them for your primary wire - now thats talking alot of copper!
