I got my Flowmaster 44 with dual outlets (2.5 inch piping) welded up today and it sounds great (IMO). Not loud enough to wake the neighbors when I leave for work at 0500, but when it will bark when I get on it. I love the decel burble! I used high temp black grill paint to prevent rust on the entire system. The guy who welded everything up said it wouldn't be a good idea to have the outlets close to the rear fender like I originally wanted, so they are about 3 inches lower to keep from melting plastic or paint. Here is a pic and a link to a video I made to give you guys looking to do an exhaust an idea of what a 44 series Flowmaster will sound like.

At the 1:07 mark I almost blew my camera off the cooler it was sitting on! :pepper:

6" tips? This ain't no diesel! I like the 3 inch slash cut tips, but 4 inches would be nice........................

i really like your set-up! looks mean and sounds great. i dont think you would have any issue running the tips tucked up close. i have mine very close to my plastic splash guards and the plastic trim. 2 ish months and no issues what so ever.

I will try to bend the pipes up closer. They sag just a little more than I like, but for the price I paid I am very satisfied with the results.
