Advantages: about 20-30% brighter.

Disadvantages: -Unnecessarily bright, will cause more glare, especially with your color choice (I take it you don't have projectors?)
-Depending on the company, the bulbs may not last as long. A lot of "55W" kits are 55W ballasts paired with 35W bulbs.
-I've also heard of heat concerns with the above mentioned pairing.

If you want more light go down in color range to something a little less ricey. 4300k and even 5000k will provide a couple hundred more lumens of output over what you have.

u have lows and highs on ur fogs??

No, he has HIDs in his high beam (9005 bulb), low beam (9006), and fogs (9145/H10).

03-06 Expeditions had a separate low and high beam :)

FWIW, I have 4300k in my low beams, with SS 9005s in my highs. I've been considering going with some HIR bulbs for that. My fogs will have HIDs once I find my retrosolutions ballasts somewhere in my garage...
