Has anyone installed a real oil pressure aftermarket gauge for the 5.4 ?

This thread was EXTREMELY painful to read. But I made it here.
07Navi, you are daft as F.

To everyone else, keep on enjoying your mechanical oil pressure gauges!

That's because like buying things that might not fit...…………..don't call people names.

Even if this part fits an Expedition, OP drives a Lincoln Navigator.
I just checked Glowshifts website and they don't list any Lincolns.

I've emailed them for an answer and will let you know what they say. Hoping to hear from Nicole.

I already did, it's in an earlier post. They said nothing for the Expy………..

Alright, since I was bored on a telecom at work, I emailed the company. I set the bait saying that I had a 2010 F150 to get the conversation going. Nicole responded with the previous linked adapter. I emailed back:

Nicole,

Thank you for your reply.

Would it not make sense for this same Oil Filter Sandwich Plate to also work for a different vehicle with the same engine? The 2010 F150 has a 5.4L 3V engine. That engine is also used in Expeditions up thru 2014. Engines are exactly the same. If not, why?

The below linked Sandwich Adapter has a 22mm x 1.5 thread which matches up to the thread of the oil filter used: the FL-820S (Motorcraft part number) filter. This oil filter is used on dozens of different vehicles: cars, pickups, SUVs and even the large F550 trucks. And the years that this filter was used spans decades. Would this adapter also work with these different applications? If not, why?

I’m not trying to be difficult, actually trying to open up your applications to a wider variety of vehicles.

Thanks for your help.

And I just got this back:

Hello Tom,

Thank you for your email. I truly appreciate your feedback! What you're saying does make a lot of sense. As long as the person were to verify the thread size on their specific vehicle, they could use a number of our oil filter sandwiches. As long as the threads match in size and the gasket diameter of the oil filter is 3" or less it can work! We also do like to inform customers that it is about an inch thick so it will cause the oil filter to sit slightly lower. Feel free to reach out with any additional questions or concerns, thank you!
Thank you & have a wonderful day,

So..... she’s saying that if you use your brain and a little research and a couple easy to get measurements, you too can find alternate applications for products. Amazing. What? Mind blown. Point. Game. Set. Match.

I agree it probably works, the only thing I was wondering about is maybe there is no room for anything around it on the Expy but I think Glowshift just went with the f-100 because they are more popular and they never bothered to look into the Expy. At any rate I am going to hook mine up to the port in the aluminum filter mount.

The engines are LITERALLY the same. No extra “stuff” around it because it happens to be bolted into an Expedition. LITERALLY the same.

But whatever.

Personally, I don't like gauges showing all over, mine will be incognito or hidden when I put it in but I will do a complete how-to on it with pictures then.
