Hopefully I’ll get this knocked out in the next few days.
All should be simple enough.

Just make it happen. Lock your garage door from the inside some how and get her done. :anitoof:

Last week the garage door broke so I had to so I had to spend my only day off mucking with that.

Hopefully no unexpected issues this week.

Got to the spark plugs and transfer case fluid swapped out.

Tried a go at the rear differential but the plugs were in there something solid. Soaking them in PB blaster and going to order new ones as I am guessing I am going to bugger them up a bit.

Plus I need bigger jack stands. Was not very comfortable with them on my 3 tons.

So next week I’ll give it another go.

Use an impact sock with a long breaker bar - may also need a cheater pipe on the bar. Slowly apply torque and it will eventually break free.

Had a 24” breaker bar and was not going.
So hopefully the PB blaster will help.

LoL I eventually used a 1/2" impact driver to get my diff plugs off(a 1/2" to 3/8" impact reducer was used though) but hell forget the plug, take the whole cover off might as well... you've got nothing to lose by then!

If you can get the handle of the breaker bar in a position where you can apply force with your foot/feet that will usually be enough to break them loose. Also helps to be bound by "extreme" gravity as a few of us are.....

Biggest issue is I was not comfortable being under there on fully extended 3 ton jack stands. Barely lifted the rear enough to get under there but the IRS would have been resting on my chest or face if it dropped.
I have taller 6 tons I’ll use next time they are just under my Mustang at the moment so need to swap them out.
Looking at getting a 7k quickjack
