So I am all set to start putting my new full SS exhaust system on my 2010 EL... I wasnt going to do the headers but Now I am thinking I might if I can get a good deal..

What is the standard recommendation for short SS headers around here for the 3rd gens? Any good deals to be found?

FYI the exhaust is:
Stainless Steel Cat-Back Performance Exhaust System (16378) Magnaflow

That is the only thing I am changing so far.

The only shorty headers that I know of are gibson. I have heard talk that f150 long tubes can be put on with minor fabrication or maybe even bolt on. Honestly I wouldnt bother with shorty headers as in my honest opinion they dont do anything useful for trucks like these. Long tubes on the other hand do make a difference as they make alot of low end vs the high end that shortys specialize in.

Honestly unless you change the entire intake, exhaust and fuel system and tune youre not going to see much change in performance as these systems were engineered close to or at the peak of performance. I know this is more then you asked for in your question But I felt it needed to be said.

Honestly Id install the cat back and enjoy the beautiful sounds a 5.4 can make with it.
