I say stick 5w20. I use Mobil 1 extended performance. Love it.

It can't hurt to move up to a slightly thicker oil for the summer. I love Valvoline MaxLife for high mileage motors.

yes I am in Jackson MS , the truck have zero leak or burn oil, im scare using synthetic or high miles oil that have seal condition, some time it make the car leak, currently running super mobil 5w20 with FL820s plan on changing every 4 month which is 1200 miles.

To put your mind at ease...
I had a 1994 BMW 318i that had 274k miles when I sold it. Full synthetic oil. I did have to replace the valve cover and oil pan gasket at one point (age). After replacing those no leaks anywhere else. I think synthetics have come a long way and oil manufactures have perfected synthetic oils compared to when they 1st came on the market.
