Help Programming the DVD Remote

I just bought a 2008 Expedition. It had the factory DVD but it did not have the headphones or remote. I ordered an OEM remote and wireless headphones. The headphones work without any problem, but I cant get the remote to work. Does it have to be programmed? TIA

The 2006 remote doesn't need to be programmed, so I wouldn't think the 2008 does either. Are you sure it is the right remote?

I have the same problem. I think they sent me the wrong remote!!
