Hey everyone,

I'm new here, and am actually helping my parents out with their expedition. The story is, they took it to a shop for some diff work a while ago. The other day, I noticed their rear swaybar was hanging down. I assume the mechanic forgot to tighten down the swaybar bracket bolts, and they of course backed out.

They have a 2002 4wd.

So I'm trying to find a replacement set of: 2 Brackets, 2 Bushings, 4 Bolts and Washers. I believe the rear bar is 22mm.

The problem is, I measured the bolt holes and they appear to be 4in center to center. Which no one seems to supply for the universal bushing sets.

I've been searching all over with no luck. And Ford doesn't seem to make them any longer.

I need to know the following:

-Where can I get a bracket/bushing set that will work?
-What are the specific bolt sizes?
-Are there normally washers used?

Part numbers and links would be so helpful!

Thanks everyone!

Edit: I would prefer an aftermarket bushing/bracket set to give them a little upgrade :)

try summitracing.com also...i would recommend upgrading the sway bars altogether with Hellwig kit so you will have upgraded the bars with all the hardware and the handling will be drastically improved...eibach used to make the kit so in theory u can contact them to see if they have any left over parts...other than that Hellwig would be the place for the soft parts but again...i HIGHLY recommend upgrading the bars...bigger...stronger...and the handling difference is incredible

Thanks for the replies. The cost difference in upgrading the bars entirely wouldn't be worth it to them. So eibach made a kit with a bracket that would fit the 4 inch center to center bracket?

I've checked all the sites and even contacted Energy. The main problem seems to be finding a bracket that will work. For example, energy has the bushing upgrade, but all their brackets are too narrow.

If anyone can find something I can order online, you'd be my hero.

You can bring the specs to any fabrication shop and they can make you a bracket fairly cheap

eibach made an anti-sway bar kit...included replacing the sway bars...I was suggesting to replace the sway bars all together with a kit from hellwig for the handling performance that you will gain from the upgrade...you will get the bushings...bars and increase the handling in one shot vs just buying new bushings...the added benefit from the upgrade is well worth it

look in the last full line of my signature...I have the eibach kit installed...installed myself...hellwig is the only manufacturer of the kit at the moment...theres a thread that talks about this and eibach emailed the response that they are no longer making it...
