Hi - no, not been able to find anything, and being 4,000 miles from the US means I can't chance things as the shipping is the most expensive bit. UK Ford dealers are not anything you would recognise as Ford dealers when it come to US models sadly. thanks for the pointer - if you have the youtube link would be good to watch the whole thing. Ta

I believe the part you are looking for is the "shield" found as item 6 at the below link. The assembly looks different in the drawing than your picture though. It was the same way for my 2005 Expy and I ordered on faith. Fit perfect on my real VIN'd Expy. Available part colors appear to be dune and ebony and you picture seems more white, cream, or maybe stone. I think its just a poorly rendered drawing. I thought that maybe your special "non-existent" car part might be from a Navigator so I took a look at the Navigator version of the part and the picture detail wasn't very helpful except the Navigator includes the interior color of stone. The good side of this is that the part isn't crazy expensive.

Hello,
I fixed my panel by adding countersunk screws 2 years ago.
I just took my time to locate the steel behind the trim and went thru while I held the part in place. I then tapped the threads.
I did this because even with the new part acquired, you will most likely break again anyway. It’s not as sturdy as it needs to be, you stress this part every time you get in and out so....

So.. I took the pictures, it’s rainy here too..
So the lower screws are just thru the plastic. They are shorter, just long enough to reattach both pieces together. The top right is like a 1/4-20 or metric equivalent that I started with a smaller screw and up sized it for strength that is into the steel frame. I haven’t worried about ever again so.. but countersinking them make it better and I was looking for some matching paint but never got around to it...

Thank you - yes I'm looking at the options. It's a fiddly and as you say, flimsy thing. The screw idea is a good one. If you do have pics that would be great. The front is still attached and I don't want to remove it as I suspect it will just break more of the plastic clips.

Yes the shape looks correct (it wraps round at the front) but it has 4 holes whereas mine has only the three holes. I can't find the wrap-around 3 hole version anywhere and so far neither has anyone else :-(

When I read the description I’m led to believe that it only has three, the diagram is a catch-all for any of the versions. When you exclude the temp control and memory holes that would leave three, wouldn’t it?

I'm gonna have a go a this having given up on the actual part - and as you say, it's flimsy anyway. Thanks for the pointer and @Trainmaster for the covers idea :)

I know a Guy who bought Flood Cars swapped out as much as possible and exported them. Maybe that's where the motor came from a different year.All had Flood titles who would know from and export seller if flood or stolen. Years ago Gulf Oil had a few Mack tractors stolen and they wound up in South America. They were found by someone ordering parts by the Vin number!!!!

I'm curious what the VIN # is for this 2015 5.4L. I work for Ford in Canada and wonder what Ford's system would say!

Bringing this thread back up to the top and not just for the entertainment of watching everyone, including me, try to figure out what exactly it is that effingpot is driving, lol!

I, too, had the trim piece break on the driver side seat trim and used some of the ideas found in this thread for repair. On my '14 Ltd. there's already a hole on the steel frame that is suitable to anchor the trim piece. Unfortunately I didn't have the proper combination of taps and screws to just simply tap the hole. What I did end up doing, though, is drilling the hole out just large enough to use a jack nut (also called a riv-nut or rivet nut) and was able to secure it that way. The plastic seat frame is broken also but I didn't address that issue this time around. Obligatory pics:
