I fixed my panel by adding countersunk screws 2 years ago.
I just took my time to locate the steel behind the trim and went thru while I held the part in place. I then tapped the threads.
I did this because even with the new part acquired, you will most likely break again anyway. It’s not as sturdy as it needs to be, you stress this part every time you get in and out so....

So.. I took the pictures, it’s rainy here too..
So the lower screws are just thru the plastic. They are shorter, just long enough to reattach both pieces together. The top right is like a 1/4-20 or metric equivalent that I started with a smaller screw and up sized it for strength that is into the steel frame. I haven’t worried about ever again so.. but countersinking them make it better and I was looking for some matching paint but never got around to it...
