Help with exhaust

Im looking to put some type of exhaust on but dont want to spend a whole lot. I was thinking an original 40 dumped running the stock pipes before that. Going for purely sound here. Not expecting miracle gains in power from a new muffler!

I had duals with super 40s on a chevy pick up a few years back and was very pleased with the sound. With the research i have done i think i like the original 40s tone better. Thinking about removing the rear cats also......not sure though. Anyone have other ideas on a very low buck exhaust setup. I just had a baby boy january 17th and hes consuming most of my money!

my entire setup could be done for cheap if you can do it.... rear cats removed and pipe welded in place... or gut the rear cats... no CEL.... then cut factory Y and run true duals...

I just welded a Cherrybomb glasspack in place of my original muffler. I like the sound of it quite a bit. Has a good throaty tone to it.

I put a flowmaster 40 series on stock pipe and was very disappointed, so I took a hack saw and cut the exhasust out right before the muffler and put a tuen down on there. I still have the exhaust so when I have to do emmissions I will clamp it back on the take back off when I get home. I have always loved the sound of striaght pipes.
