Just wasn't meant to be. Keep lookin... Probably find an even better deal on an even nicer truck.

You may be able to do better anyway.
I bought a '99 in the spring (black EB) just like you described.
I paid $3,000 with 125k miles
I have 150k on it now and its been great.
