Did you get a 35 watt kit or 55 watt kit? 35 watt can use the stock harness, but with a 55 watt you will want to get a relay harness.

Another question I was wondering... Where are you guys mounting your ballasts? I'm guessing to the back of the headlight housing?

I put those for the headlights right under the ledge that runs on both sides...

To me...hid in the high beam is pointless...its so bright that I didnt need highs and that was when traveling through wooded back country in Alabama where there are no lights and ppl lived a mile off the road

Always run a relay harness, the stock wiring was never ment to run HID's. It's the surge of amps of turning them on that does it.

I agree , It's safer to run off a relay... OEM wiring tend to get hot more so if you run 55 watt ballast like I am

I understand how it works just not why he needs a relay for 35w. I'm running 85w with harness

Cause of the amp draw when turning them on and only when you turn them on.
