This all started with a simple battery change. First symptom was my wife was coming home one morning from working out and said my headlights were flashing as she was coming in. So I go out and check and here some relays clicking, I tried to start the engine and it was dead. I have another vehicle so later that afternoon I check some things and decide to replace the battery and connectors. Everything seems fine and we even drive it out that night. I get up the next morning and I can see the lights flashing again. I go out and the battery is dead again. I jump it off and move it to the shop to charge the battery. Later that day I try to start it and it will not start. It will crank but not start. So I walk away and think for a little while and come back to it. This time it starts and goes straight to 4500 rpm. It's been that way for a couple of days and now the battery is dead again. I've read all the stories about the leaking windshields and gem modules. We did have alot of ice followed by a 7" rain. What has me stumped is the 4500 rpm idle. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
