2002 eddie Bauer 5.4. I unplugged the horn under the hood from the harness, so i could put a fuse in without the horn being on to see if I could get the cruise to work. I replaced the shutoff switch (forgot real name) that's screwed into the master cylinder. Still no cruise. I tried doing the cruise diagnostic, and when I start the cruise light comes on, but after that nothing on any button press.
I thought as far as the horn goes it may be the bent pad as some have mentioned, so in an attempt to isolate this I unplugged the horn from the airbag assembly cover, plugged harness back in under the hood directly to horn and it still sounds.
Could it be the clock spring even though the airbag light isn't on? I scanned with obdII tool and no codes.
