how can tell if a 2013-2014 EL has tow package?

Hi, new to the forume. I am in the market for a 13 or 14 Expedition EL. I will be towing a 25 foot trailer with it some and I want to make sure I get the heavy duty tow package. Is there any easy way to verify this? The salesmen I've seen have no idea.

As an aside if it has the factory trailer brake controller does that mean it has the heavy duty tow package.

Yes if it has the brake controller it has heavy duty in those years. If it is new it should be on the sticker either in standard features or line item depending on the package. I have also the new mechanical rear load level suspension but that is separate optional item and you would need to look for that on the sticker or for used punch it in the ford VIN system.
