I have a 98 Eddie Bauer. The problem is that the front passenger, and rear driver's side power door locks make this awful buzzing sound when locking and unlocking.

I can only assume it is an actuator gone bad. Has anyone tackled this themselves?

Does anyone have a how-to, a step by step, or helpful hint on replacing one of these.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

You still need help with this?

Apparently, you'll need a "Heavy Duty Riveter" to install new rivets.

At least that's what is listed under a 2000 Expedition. Don't know how close they are mechanically.

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking I'll just take it in to the stealership and have them fix it. It's too cold outside anyway, and my new house doesn't have a garage..
