They are just under 3 tons. If I remember correctly they are in the 5K - 5,500K range.

thats what i thought. i found a winch that has a 6 ton pull with a 2 ton straight line pull. some one was saying that they would pull huge trees up hill and the cable was breaking before the winch was giving out. so why not just get it? when i make my bumper ill just add a trailer hitch to the front so i can use it till i get my warn 12k winch.

i have 3rd row and a little extra stuff. but 5000 sounds about right. i think when i get it smogged last time it was 4600. and that was with out the sub, amp, lights, me, rear seat and few other things. so thats about right. 2.5-2.75 tons. thats what these weigh. good to know.

How are you guy's Expeditions so light? Mine was REALLY close to 6000 Ibs (like only 100 ibs lighter)when mine was weighed. I thought they made the 2nd gens lighter than the first ones... maybe I'm remembering wrong?

Can take rear seats out of gen 1 expys... 100 ish pounds?? don't really know.

Was that with you in it? How much do you weigh?:hmm: Kidding lol

Mine came in at 5600 with me in it... Im 185 pds. Fuel will make a difference too. Not sure how much mine had at the time. So maybe my expy weighs in at near 5400 sans rear seat with 1/4 tank fuel ?? Then again maybe the scale was off too.

The rear seat does come out. A full tank of fuel will add a couple hundred pounds over 1/4 tank since 30 gallons weighs 260 lbs.

That puppy is loaded down. I've never weighed mine, but I always drove over the scale in my old 2wd F150 and it was right at 4500, but the expy has a couple of pounds on that lol

Mine had a full tank of gas, its rare that I ever let it go below half. And I was not in it. And I weigh a massive 145 ibs standing at a towering 5'7.
Mine was weighed at a truck stop since my friend works there.

Thanks mister! Is that the weight rating for the XLT or the Eddie Bauer 4x2 or 4x4?

And 4.6 or 5.4:)

I have not been able to find 1 source that list all the different years. I have found many different sources but they all seemed to be different figures.
