I'm curious as to how high your frame sits off the ground. I want to know everyones height from stock to fully modified. For instance my lowest frame point aside from my differential is my gas tank which sits 15 inches off the ground. I'm trying to decide if that is sufficient or if I should buy a suspension lift kit. I looked at my gas tank today and saw I had drug it over some obstacles so I'm going to make a skid plate for that.

Well ok I will give it my best guess just because no one has really responded to you quite yet. I do not have my truck with me here at school, but whenever I am under it, I would estimate that my fuel tank sits around 10-12 inches from the ground. Again its a total ballpark based on how far I remember it being from my chest haha. I am sure others will chime in with actual measurements. Oh and my truck is stock in its height aside from a couple inches added from the larger tires. Hope that helps!

Mine sits at 9 1/2" to the skid plate under the gas tank. 1998 Expy 4X4 converted from air ride to springs and coilovers, with stock 265 / 70's.
Hope thaat helps

what i would do, if i was you. 30 gallon bronco tank. they are square and put it under where the spare tire goes. then build a skid plate there. you will free up a lot of space there and even out the truck a little more.
