I have the factory rear entertainment system.. can I do this?

Its the overhead one in my 2010 expy el. I noticed I can play movies up front when in park (as expected). I noticed I can control movies being played in the rear unit. Can I play in the front unit and redirect the video to the rear unit? If not, I'm sure I can rig up something for use on the rear aux on the unit.. just hoping I dont need to purchase a pi and a memory card device lol..
