Hey guys been awhile since I've been on here but I a few weeks ago my iacv started leakin air so I changed it and the new one was leakin to so I took it back and changed it out again and this one is still leakin are around the bottom of the gasket just like the last one. Is there something special you have to do to reinstall these things or a certain kind of gasket to use? It kinda seems like the new gaskets aren't big enough and that's why it's leakin. Any input would be appreciated.

Make sure the gasket surface is clean by very easily going over it with a single edge razor blade or a zizz wheel. If it still doesn't seal, Permatex #2 is your friend.

I've cleaned it both times I've changed it out and I just bought a felpro gasket to see if it was the type of gasket but it's still leakin so I'll try the blade and permatex tomorrow see what happens with that.

Make sure you get the non hardening type of Permatex, I'm pretty sure it is #2. The #1 is hardening - pure evil if you don't have a ziz wheel.

Check the mounting for cracks. How are you determining it is leaking?
