IHey all,
I have a 05 5.4 expy eb, I'm hving tell tale signs of a ignition coil going bad. I would like to fix this my self, what are the options for Ignition coils? Auto zone has some for $49, but the motocraft from the dealer is $80, any suggestions?
Thanks

+1 for global automotive on ebay.... I've had them for over a year now and no problems... had a bad one sent to me but called them and they swapped it out no problems at all... and tons of people have used them and UNEEK on ebay as well

don't EVER buy any electronic parts from auto zone, Ive had nothing but problems with them. I git 6 bad alternators in a row from them, 2 bad ecu's in a row, and a third that died several months after i bought it. lets see what else... a bad master brake cylinder, Dead injector, leaky water pump, bad caliper, wrong set of brake pads they wouldn't return because they were dirty from me grabbing them and comparing the two pads in the middle of a brake job. I personally wont go to autozne ever again. they sicked a collections agency on me for a tool i rented and returned ( they say I didn't), even though i had the receipt, plus all the problems Ive had with there parts

anyways...Go with anything but autozone. if you have the cash look into the msd coils. My parts guy says stay away from accel, he gets alot of returns/exchanges on them
