I'm pretty new but not new to car and truck mods

I also just created an album full of pics of my drilled/slotted rotor upgrade I did a couple of days ago.

I'll answer any questions I can.

Why did you put on the drilled and slotted? How have they helped your truck stop or accelerate (laterally too)? Did you weigh the components first? adding unsprung mass can be a detriment to stopping and turning and going. I didn't see both sides, but on the side I see I think your slots are facing the wrong way. Not a huge issue - in fact, Astin Martin of all people use rotors that aren't marked left and right, so the slots on one side of the car the slots face the wrong way. Weird eh?

I have noticed that they do stop the truck better and even the pedal feel improved but that is most likely because of new rotors/pads which could be any rotor/brake combo.
In my case, the truck had a dead spot when I applied the brake in a sudden and emergency fashion so this was an upgrade.

Please tell me more about the slots facing the wrong way. They were a L and R rotor but weren't marked outside of a label on the box and was wondering if they were right but visually looked correct but please, clarify this for me so that if I need to, I can uninstall them and flip them.

when u had the rotors on the ground they were backwards...but u have them on the front correct...imagine a hurricane...spinning counter clockwise...that's how the slots should look

Do you think you could have saved money with the same performance - and possibly increased lifespan - with sold rotors?

The 'big' end of the slot should face forward - like this:

With the rotor on the right side of this pic, I think the front of the truck would be on the left, thus, the slots look backwards.

Am I wrong with how I'm looking at that photo?

Now, here's the caveat. Probably doesn't matter. I doubt non-sports/high perf cars would ever have a measurable difference. I shy away from drilled and slotted because having surface area and mass helps rotors deal with heat; less prone to cracking and what-not.

Okay, all fixed PLUS one of the caliper retaining springs broke so those were replaced.

Thank you for the heads up... I mixed them up and went with what looked logical.

Cool man - Yeah, when I learned (from Track guys and stuff) I thought it was backassward...until I started talking to shops and part-makers... But glad you got it sorted!
