Hey guys,

I have read much on this but just wanted to get some more opinions. I installed the Monroe 90010 conversion kit going from air on my 1998 Eddie Bauer. The azz end rides a good 3 ot 4 inches higher. I have given it some months to see if it settled a bit but not really.

I know you can do a torsion bar twist but really was not sure about how the ride would be after and also could I really go up 4 inches in the front? What other options do I have at this point. I am looking to hopefully do something easy and not expensive. I want to raise the front, not lower the rear and like I said, I am worried about the ride if I go with the twist.

Any suggestions? Thanks again.

im only going off of what i've learned...never done this...i feel like you can do a spacer in the front if you want to raise the front...i dont believe we have the torsion on the air setup and since u had air it may not be there...again...not sure due to not doing it myself...for the rear...its prob like that for when u do have a load in the rear...its been said that you can put drop springs on the conversion so maybe you can buy the drop for the rear and it may sit how u want it

Thanks Freeway. I do believe there are the torsion bars up front but will need to take another look when I get home. What kind of spacer could I put up front? I would rather use a spacer then twist the torsion bars anyway, even if I do have them.

Has anyone else done this or heard of anyone who has? I can't believe how high the rear sits compared to the front, hah. Like I said, 4 inches maybe a bit less. Again I do not want to lower the rear but raise the front 3 inches or so to even it out.

But..I want to do it safely. Anyone link the spacers that I would use?

Thanks again.

Spring suspension users use a spacer lift like truxx...I found a couple of conversion kits online that offered a lift kit with it...so I'm sure it can be done and safe...search the threads on spacer lifts and u should be good to go...

my 2000 eddie bauer has air suspension and its faulty. i want to do a conversion to coil springs but theres several different kits available. do i need the one with just the springs or does it need to come with shocks and stabilizers. i was thinking about getting the monreo 90005 it comes with springs shocks and stabilizers . or can i just find one @ the junk yard that has springs and swap em out

when you buy the conversion it has everything needed..u cant get this from the junkyard unless you know someone that did the conversion and pull from their truck...so the conversion will have shocks/springs/adapters
